Nonprofits (or equivalent organizations) that are located in the Seward/Moose Pass area are invited to apply for the 2017 Seward Community Foundation Competitive Grant. Grants will support organizations and programs in the areas of health, education, human services, arts and culture, youth, and community development.

The Alaska Community Foundation is pleased to announce Rasmuson Foundation has awarded more than $800,000 to expand and sustain the Strengthening Organizations grant program. Now in its fifth year, the Strengthening Organizations (SO) program has become a major touchpoint for ACF and the nonprofit sector, and is considered to be a unique and mainstay grant program for nonprofit organizations across Alaska who are seeking the necessary funding to strengthen their infrastructures and allow them to more effectively serve their missions and provide services in Alaska. It represents the majority of competitive grant awards made through ACF each year.

General Communication Inc. (GCI), in partnership with the Alaska Community Foundation (ACF), today announced $100,000 in grant funds will be awarded to nine Alaska organizations to support suicide prevention and promote mental wellness. The organizations, selected through a competitive grant process, have been awarded funding as part of an initiative to fight Alaska’s suicide rate, the highest in the nation.
