Summer is here, and 40 camps across Alaska received over $755,000 to help youth explore, grow, and lead this summer thanks to the generosity of Rasmuson Foundation, the George and Stephanie Suddock Foundation, the Mat-Su Health Foundation, and our individual donors.
From fine arts in Sitka and Girdwood to culture camps in Ruby and Old Harbor, to farm-based learning in Fairbanks and statewide programs from Girl Scouts, Camp Fire, and Special Olympics—these camps will give kids more than just something to do. They will build confidence, connection, and skills that last far beyond summer.
Launched by the Rasmuson Foundation in 2022, the Camp Initiative has become a powerful partnership focused on expanding access to safe and enriching experiences for Alaska’s youth.
