Recognizing talented young musicians, Sam Pitcher Music Scholarships are available annually for Ketchikan students grades 7-12. It is the purpose of this scholarship to expand recipients’ musical horizons by providing an opportunity to attend summer music programs. By offering an incentive to participate in music actively, the Sam Pitcher Music Scholarships adds to the overall ability and well-rounded education of Ketchikan’s youth. Since 2004 the fund has awarded over 70 scholarships.
