Christopher Walden Foundation of Hope is a non-profit working to build and operate a facility for those in need of immediate, intense rehabilitation/recovery care. The organization aims to have the first facility launch in September 2021 in Anchorage or the Mat-Su Valley, with more facilities planned throughout Alaska in the following years. Throughout Christopher’s battle with addiction, his family found Alaska lacking in available, affordable facilities inclusive for all Alaskans. His family saw the difficulty those battling addiction faced as they returned to Alaska from treatment centers elsewhere. Like Christopher, others also experienced great hardship in acclimatizing to a different support structure in a new environment from where they received treatment. His family and friends have created the non-profit Christopher Walden Foundation of Hope to provide recovery treatment for Alaskans in Alaska.
