The Social Justice Fund and Alaska Native Social Justice Fund at The Alaska Community Foundation (ACF) are successfully mobilizing grassroots efforts and creative cross-agency partnerships. The funds offer flexible support for projects, programs, and organizations that work toward equity in access to services, equal rights for all, and high levels of civic engagement.
ACF opened the third grant cycle for the Social Justice fund in January of 2019. This year twenty-seven nonprofits received grants. The Social Justice Fund was generously founded by Jonathan B. Rubini and Clare Bertucio in 2015 and has made forty-seven grants at a total of $561,082 since its inception. A gift from the Ford Foundation further established the fund. This year $277,543 was granted to the following nonprofits.

This is the second and final grant cycle for the Alaska Native Social Justice Fund with eleven awardees totaling $203,539. The fund, established by Marguerite E. Casey Foundation, focused on Native Alaskan organizations working on social justice projects in their communities. The following nonprofits were awarded grants in 2019.
