As we approach the end of 2014, I want to take a few moments to highlight the remarkable service from two longstanding Board members — Morgan Christen and Susan Behlke Foley.
Both Morgan and Susan have served on the ACF Board of Directors for nine years and – through their personal commitment, leadership, and dedication to our mission – we are a much stronger organization. In their own way, Susan and Morgan have provided critical guidance and thoughtful perspectives that has strengthened our organization and extended our reach into new, unexplored territory. Although they have reached the term limit for service on our Board of Directors, we know that their legacy of service will remain a vital part of our organization and we know that they will continue to be a champion for this sector.
In 2015, The Alaska Community Foundation will celebrate our 20th Anniversary. Twenty years is a milestone for any organization, but this accomplishment does not happen in a vacuum. Nor does it happen without the support of many. We exist and thrive through the generous support and commitment from passionate and visionary Alaskans… Morgan and Susan are two of many remarkable individuals who helped guide us to where we are today and who helped position us for greater success tomorrow.
From our scholarship committee members to our Affiliate Advisory Board members… To our volunteer board of directors and our team at ACF. Most of all – to our donors, fund advisors, and supporters…
Thank you.
I wish you all the best during the holiday season and in the New Year.
