Managing Director, Strategic Initiatives
Chellie brings more than two decades of cross-sector experience to her role as Managing Director, Strategic Initiatives, shaped by a career dedicated to building organizations and initiatives from the ground up. Originally from Minnesota, she relocated to Alaska in 2001 and has since developed deep roots in the state’s communities. Her professional background spans accounting, finance, leadership transition and development, and nonprofit capacity building, with a consistent focus on the nonprofit sector and a drive to create meaningful, lasting impact.
Throughout her career, Chellie has championed collaborative approaches that strengthen organizations, empower individuals, and advance community well-being. She is particularly committed to fostering environments where thoughtful strategy and continuous personal development intersect to build resilient systems and stronger communities.
In her current role, Chellie serves as the senior internal execution leader for complex, statewide and public–private initiatives on behalf of ACF. She is responsible for building the Strategic Initiatives unit as a durable organizational capability while supporting executive-level decision-making and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact results.
Outside of her professional work, Chellie enjoys Alaska’s natural beauty through hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her husband and two children at their family cabin near Big Lake, often surrounded by wildlife and landscapes that continue to inspire her.
