Anne Marie is from upstate New York originally and moved to New York City where she sought out the performing arts as a modern dancer and choreographer. She has lived in Anchorage for 16 years and calls Alaska home.
For the last eight years, she has been the operations/catering manager at Bridge Seafood Restaurant. As a catering manager, Anne Marie worked with groups including non-profits and for-profit businesses on small to very large events. She sharpened her customer service tool belt and enjoyed delivering above and beyond expectations in the hospitality field.
She began her non-profit work at KBBI public radio in Homer and moved to Anchorage for a similar role at Alaska Public Media. She then worked in development at the Anchorage Concert Association and the Arc of Anchorage.
She is eager to marry the best of both worlds in her role at The Alaska Community Foundation, where attention to excellence in customer service and collaboration with a stellar team is key.
For Anne Marie, summers are for the garden where she enjoys being in the dirt. In her free time, she enjoys hiking. She also maintains a cadre of devoted yogi friends who practice yoga four mornings a week via Zoom from the start of the pandemic.
