President & CEO
Born in Alaska just a few years after it became a state, Alex grew up watching the state grow as her family, neighbors, and friends helped one another and started the programs, events, and connections that shaped the place they called home.
Today, as President & CEO of the Alaska Community Foundation, Alex draws on more than 25 years in public policy, philanthropy, and law. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford Law School, and most recently served as Vice President of Strategy at the Rasmuson Foundation, where she worked with nonprofits and partners across the state.
At ACF, she’s grateful for the opportunity to continue the tradition she saw growing up — people taking part in shaping the Alaska they want to see. She is committed to the mission of making giving simple and accessible, helping Alaskans carry forward what they care about most and ensure those things last for generations.
