Sara Wise plans to double major in Chinese language and International Studies. Her academic pursuits will take her far from Alaska and her alma mater of West High School – all the way to Indiana University, Bloomington. There she plans to graduate in the spring of 2018.
Sara attributes her drive and passion for learning about other cultures and countries to her personal words of wisdom, “Wonder is the seed of knowledge”. An active young woman, Sara is spending her summer hiking, backpacking, working at Alaska Mill and Feed, while also assisting the president of the Wacky Woman Golf Association.
We are excited to celebrate Sara’s achievements and congratulate her on her recent award of the Dr. Merritt C. Olson Scholarship.
The Dr. Merritt C. Olson Scholarship was established by a bequest from Dr. Merritt C. Olson and is a component fund of The Alaska Community Foundation.
