Today, we joined the Alaska Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in recognizing Susan Behlke Foley as the 2014 Outstanding Philanthropy Volunteer and Icicle Seafoods as the 2014 Outstanding Business in Philanthropy.
Susan is a past chair and current member of The Alaska Community Foundation Board of Directors. Her leadership and compassion have made a profound impact on ACF and our mission. During Susan’s tenure, ACF has experienced significant growth and her positive nature, prudence, and grace have made her a valuable role model within our organization. Over the years, as an estate planning professional, she has volunteered hundreds of hours of work devoted to strengthening the philanthropic landscape of Alaska. Susan’s compassion and intellect enable her to investigate and understand the profound challenges facing Alaskans, and how ACF can best connect people who care with causes that matter in our great state.
Kris Norosz is also one of our dedicated ACF board members and is currently on the management team for Icicle Seafoods, Inc. Committed to philanthropy in Alaska, Icicle Seafoods provides ample support of Kris as a member of our board. After almost nine years with ACF, Kris has been both an Officer of our Board of Directors and a leader on committees supporting our Program & Grants and Community Asset Building Initiative. As a volunteer, Kris has shown her commitment and enthusiasm to grow philanthropy in smaller communities around the state and helped shape our statewide vision around grant-making. We are fortunate to have Kris on our team.
Congratulations Susan, Kris, Icicle Seafoods, Inc. and all award recipients on these well deserved recognitions!
