Karen Griffin joins The Alaska Community Foundation as Chief Financial Officer. Originally from California, Griffin considers Alaska home since relocating three years ago, largely in part to the kindness and generosity extended from new friends and neighbors. Griffin enjoys the beautiful scenery, clean air, water and spending as much time outdoors as possible, year round! Griffin’s diverse professional background encompasses private industry accounting in the fields of petroleum, agriculture and law. In addition, Griffin has volunteered with multiple nonprofit organizations providing accounting and financial support, including time spent serving meals in shelters, providing school supplies, clothing, holiday meals and gifts to families in need.
Joining The Alaska Community Foundation has provided me the opportunity to partner my personal passion for giving and professional experience in a profound way.
