Golden Heart Community Foundation reaches $100,000

Thank You Kinross Fort Knox for your Generous Gift

(Fairbanks, AK) – The Golden Heart Community Foundation, an Affiliate of The Alaska Community Foundation, is proud to announce a recent $10,000 donation from Kinross Fort Knox through the Fort Knox Community Investment committee.

We are extremely thrilled by the local support from Fort Knox!  Their gift is a fantastic endorsement of the long-term value of growing an endowment for our Interior communities. The power of building a permanent endowment is that these gifts will continue to give back to our community for generations.

Jo Kuchle, Golden Heart Community Foundation Chair

The gift to the Golden Heart Community Foundation (GHCF) Fund is the largest single donation received from the local community – outside of a generous matching gift of $50,000 from the Rasmuson Foundation

The donation from Fort Knox brings the total endowment to more than $100,000 raised in less than one year’s time. It joins contributions from local individuals, businesses and organizations including: Alyeska, Cook Schuhmann & Groseclose, Denali State Bank, and the Rotary Club of Fairbanks. The GHCF Advisory Board shares their sincere gratitude and appreciation for all of the local donors who have stepped forward with their commitment.

Established in 2013 through a partnership between The Alaska Community Foundation and the Rasmuson Foundation, the Golden Heart Community Foundation continues the pioneering spirit of Alaskans who were here before us and is working to ensure the greater Fairbanks-area communities continue to thrive long into the future.
