Maurie Harrington was a Kenai Central High School student who was very active in student council and leadership activities and was usually interested in other students overall well-being. She was a caring person who worked hard for the greater good of the student body. The Maurie Harrington Memorial Scholarship is a leadership award given to a Kenai Central High student council member who exhibits exceptional leadership qualities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Kenai Central High graduating senior
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Active in student leadership for at least 2 years
Preference:
- Students with extra community service hours
Applicants Will be Asked to Provide:
- High School Transcript
- Community Involvement and/or Extra Curriculars
- Essay
- Letter of Recommendation
- Financial Need
IMPORTANT: Scholarship recipients must submit their student ID number and program information by June 30, 2024 to ACF through the online system before their award can be disbursed. Failure to do so will be an automatic forfeiture of the award unless student chooses an award deferment.
