Camp Initiative

Camps and youth programming opportunities are essential for Alaskan families. Camps are expensive to operate, and these organizations typically charge a fee that can be a barrier to families. When camps are offered free of charge, the barriers for youth attendance are generally travel and transportation costs as well as identifying and paying counselors, on-site medics, and guest speakers.

Neal O. Thorpe Memorial Operating Fund

A scholarship fund established in memory of Neal O. Thorpe to support graduates of Alaskan high schools intending to pursue post-secondary education at one of 16 institutions selected by the donor. Preference will be given to Alaska Native students, first-generation college students, and other underserved populations.
