The Alaska Community Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Janel Hodge as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 19, 2026.
Janel has been part of ACF for eight years, most recently serving as Director of Finance. She brings 25 years of accounting and finance experience, along with a deep understanding of ACF, its financial operations, and the role Finance plays in supporting the organization’s work across the state.
“Janel knows our organization, our people, and our work exceptionally well,” said Alexandra McKay, ACF President and CEO. “I’m excited to see her take this next step at ACF and confident she will bring strong financial leadership and a thoughtful approach to the role.”
Janel’s appointment provides continuity for ACF’s Finance team and the organization as a whole. Kevin Gray, ACF’s current CFO, will remain with ACF through his planned retirement on December 31, working closely with Janel on the transition, knowledge transfer, and year-end continuity.
“I’m grateful to Kevin for his leadership and his commitment to supporting a successful transition,” McKay said. “We’re fortunate to have such strong continuity in Finance and to be able to recognize Janel’s experience and leadership with this well-deserved promotion.”
As Janel moves into her new role, ACF will begin recruiting for a new Director of Finance.
Please join us in congratulating Janel on this well-deserved appointment and her continued leadership at ACF.
