ACF honors Kevin Gray and Elizabeth Miller on their planned retirements after a combined 17 years of service
When Kevin Gray joined Alaska Community Foundation in 2016, ACF managed $76 million in assets. Today that number stands at $300 million. When Elizabeth Miller arrived in 2019, she set about building a development program with deeper roots, broader reach, and a stronger connection to the donors and communities ACF serves. Together, across 17 combined years, they helped shape an organization built to serve Alaska long into the future. ACF celebrates their planned retirements and everything that made it possible.
“This is about celebrating two people who have given years of exceptional work to ACF and to Alaska. Kevin and Elizabeth have earned this moment, and ACF is a better organization for everything they have contributed. What they helped create is now woven into the fabric of this institution. That is their legacy, and that is what endures. ACF was built to be here in perpetuity, and this moment reflects exactly that.”
Kevin will retire on December 31, 2026, closing a decade that spans nearly one third of ACF’s entire history. He stewarded the foundation through COVID relief and ARPA distributions, the CARES Act, disaster recovery efforts, CEO and Board transitions, and the opening of the BP Energy Center. He and his wife are legacy donors to ACF. His commitment to this organization has always been personal, not just professional.

I have worked hard to create trust and stewardship of ACF’s assets, helped donors understand their options, and had the joy of seeing some of those donors succeed in their charitable goals. My wife and I are legacy donors to ACF. I leave confident in what has been built here and in the people who will carry it forward.”
Elizabeth will retire in spring 2027 after seven years of steady leadership at ACF. She transformed the Foundation’s development, communications, and legacy giving programs, expanded relationships with donors and professional advisors, introduced innovative charitable gift options, and led major branding and fundraising initiatives. Her work has strengthened ACF’s statewide reach and positioned the Foundation for continued success. The community of people who believe in ACF is larger because of her.

I am proud of what this team has built, and I am committed to a transition that serves both the organization and whoever comes next. My connection to this mission does not end in the spring.”
