Alexandra McKay, John Rubini and Clare Bertucio.
Recently, the Alaska Community Foundation brought Alaskans together in Palm Springs for a special evening hosted by John Rubini and Clare Bertucio at their stunning mid-century modern home. Community leaders, philanthropists, and longtime supporters reminisced and shared stories about how Alaska shaped their lives. Many began with, “I was only going to stay for a year ….”
John spoke from the heart about why he and Clare give in Alaska. He encouraged everyone to remember how generous the state has been, and the importance of giving back—to the communities, nonprofits, and causes that make Alaska so special.
As one of ACF’s most visionary business leaders, it is unsurprising that John is also pioneering the foundation’s first Supporting Organization model—creating a powerful tool for long-term, high-impact giving.
Either through donor-advised funds, legacy gifts, community partnerships, and other funding models, ACF provides ways for everyone to invest in the state that remains home regardless of where life takes us.
