Members of the Ream family were born and raised in Alaska and attended Ketchikan High School before continuing with their education and careers. In honor of their mother, the Ream Family has created this scholarship to assist seniors from Wrangell High School in pursuing higher education and achieving their goals.
There will be two awards made of up to $2,500 each. The scholarship is renewable for a second year at $2,000
Eligibility Criteria:
- High school senior graduating from Wrangell High School
- Students with cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Accepted to a college, university, or vocational school
Preference is given to the following applicants:
- Students who demonstrate participation community service
- Students who demonstrate financial need
Applicants will be asked to provide:
- Personal Essay
- Resume and/or summary of work experience, activities, personal interests, honors/awards, and volunteer service
- Transcripts: most recent high school
IMPORTANT: Scholarship recipients must submit their student ID number and program information to ACF through the online system before their award can be disbursed. If we do not receive the above information by June 30, 2024, the scholarship may not be awarded. Please contact ACF if you cannot send in the information by this date.
