The George & Stephanie Suddock Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships to support Alaskan high school graduates achieve their fullest potential, with the goal of helping students improve their lives and improve their communities. The scholarship seeks to provide students with the opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the United States. It is George and Stephanie’s hope to award recipients who ultimately have an interest in returning to Alaska if they pursue higher education outside of the state. Awards will be given to a cohort of five (5) students from across the state of Alaska to ensure statewide representation.
Scholarships of up to $25,000/year for four years will be awarded to students in four-year academic programs. Students enrolled in two-year degree programs and vocational programs are eligible for $25,000 with the opportunity to re-apply for additional funding.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate of an Alaskan high school
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Will be attending first year of college in 2024
- Planning to enroll full-time as an undergraduate student at an accredited college or university in the United States
Preference:
- Students with a demonstrated financial need
IMPORTANT: Scholarship recipients must submit their student ID number and program information to ACF through the online system before their award can be disbursed. If we do not receive the above information by June 30 following the award notification, the scholarship may not be awarded. Please contact ACF if you cannot send in the information by this date
