Alaskans working together to help those in need of assistance after the November 30, 2018 earthquake
A coalition of funders and service providers have come together around a single fund, the Alaska Disaster Recovery Fund. The fund will be managed by The Alaska Community Foundation and advised upon by the coalition including representatives from Rasmuson Foundation, Red Cross of Alaska, Salvation Army – Alaska Division, Mat-Su Health Foundation, United Way of Anchorage, United Way of Mat-Su, Cook Inlet Housing Authority, and The Foraker Group. The purpose of the Alaska Disaster Recovery Fund is to support the ongoing recovery efforts from the November 30, 2018 earthquake in Southcentral Alaska, and enable donors to support both short-term emergency response and long-term recovery.
We have heard from many donors and volunteers who want to help. Please share your immediate needs as a result of the earthquake by the end of the day on Friday, Dec. 7, by completing a short survey at this link. We hope to hear from you!
Coalition to Support the Alaska Disaster Recovery Fund
1% of each donation will support the administration and distribution of the fund by ACF. The Alaska Community Foundation (ACF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 92-0155067). We accept the contribution for the charitable purpose(s) of the fund listed above. As required by law, we are informing you that The Alaska Community Foundation has exclusive legal control over your contribution and warrants that no goods or services were provided in exchange with this gift.
