Program Officer
Jen is the Program Officer at the Alaska Community Foundation (ACF), implementing the strategic and operational objectives of ACF’s scholarships and grants. She has 14 years of executive-level experience in the nonprofit sector and a background in biology and sustainable natural resources management. In her past role as director of the Alaska Raptor Center, she implemented strategic initiatives and developed new programs and processes to advance mission and led the Center towards financial and operational excellence. In 2023, she was honored with the Achievement in Business Leadership Award by the Alaska Journal of Commerce. She has long admired ACF for its diverse and prolific impact throughout Alaska and is excited to serve the state she cares for deeply on a larger scale. Originally from Northern Ontario, Canada, she and her husband moved to Sitka, Alaska in 2017 to take their mutual passion for outdoor adventures to the next level. Now residing in Anchorage, Jen serves as president on the Bird Treatment and Learning Center’s board of directors and loves being outside, exploring Alaska through backcountry hiking, trail running, and boating with her husband and fur babies.
