Ashley Ellingson is a seasoned marketing and communications leader with over a decade of experience driving impactful campaigns across diverse industries. As the Director of Communications Marketing for The Alaska Community Foundation, Ashley spearheads communications and marketing strategies that foster strong connections and engagement. Her expertise spans external marketing and internal communications, supporting collaboration to deliver results that resonate with the community. Her technical acumen includes digital marketing, web design, and data analytics expertise, ensuring she brings creative and strategic insight to every project.
Ashley’s marketing career began in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she worked as a Marketing Manager for The Lakeland Companies. In this role, she not only oversaw strategies for 12 business units but also coordinated large-scale national and international events, demonstrating her creative vision and leadership. Her influence also extended to the restaurant industry, where she directed public relations and marketing efforts for Chris & Rob’s Chicago’s Taste Authority, helping enhance brand presence through media promotions and community engagement.
Having lived in Alaska for over ten years, Ashley thrives in the adventurous, remote landscape of the Last Frontier. Alongside her two kids and their Goldendoodle, she embraces the Alaskan lifestyle, finding joy in the state’s wild beauty and the close-knit community surrounding her. Whether she’s exploring the outdoors or connecting with those around her, Ashley is deeply rooted in the unique spirit of Alaska.
