This fund was established by the Monroe Foundation, whose mission is to support and advance the goals and programs of the Catholic Schools of Fairbanks.

The Catholic Schools of Fairbanks opened in 1946 in the basement of Immaculate Conception Church (ICC). It was staffed by the Jesuits and Sisters of Providence. In 1951, the school moved to the current Slaterville site. Since then, the schools have been bringing their rich tradition of service to the people of Fairbanks.

At each Jesuit school, one hears of the traits of a Graduate at Graduation, commonly called “Grad at Grad.” These are: Religious, Loving, Open to Growth, Intellectually Competent, and Committed to Doing Justice. We integrate these traits into classrooms from PreK through 12th grade. We talk about and experience “seeing God in all things,” and living our lives with “ad majorem Dei gloriam” – for the greater glory of God – at the core of each of our actions.
