The Independent Living Center ensures that people and families with disabilities of all ages have a complete understanding of their rights and responsibilities, their options, and have the freedom to make their own choices. ILC promotes choice, independence, and quality of life for persons and families living with disabilities. As an Aging and Disability Resource Center for older Alaskans, the Independent Living Center makes sure that families with disabilities and community members in general will receive information, assistance, options, and counseling to make the best choice for themselves and to age in place.
