The Professional Development of Volunteer Administrators Scholarship is currently accepting applications.
The 2019 Professional Development of Volunteer Administrators Scholarship will run January 21st 2019 – April 11th, 2019. Applications must be submitted no later than 5 pm AKST.
The Professional Development of Volunteer Administrators Fund was established by the Anchorage Association for Volunteer Administrators to promote professional development of volunteer administrators. Awarded funds may support activities such as attending trainings or conferences and related expenses. Curriculum of the training/conference must be directly connected to the work of volunteer administration.
Scholarships are awarded to the nonprofit organization to be used to benefit the volunteer administrator. If the original applicant is no longer with the organization, funds may be used to support the person currently in the position. Awards will support up to $2,000 of the cost of the training. Preference will be given to organizations/individuals that contribute toward the cost of the training.
- Applicant must be a volunteer administrator
- Applicant must work for a nonprofit organization located in Anchorage, Alaska
If awarded, the grantee will complete a report documenting the impact of the award on the organization. Reports are completed in ACF’s online system.
Forfeiture of Award:
The applicant understands the award could be rescinded in the following circumstances:
- Applicant no longer meets the qualifications of the scholarship program.
- Award funds are used for purposes other than those outlined by the scholarship program.
