The Anchorage Schools Foundation Grant Cycle is not currently accepting applications.
The Anchorage Schools Foundation was created to make grants in support of activities that enhance the success of students in the Anchorage School District. School professionals including principals, teachers, nurses, counselors, administrators, and certified staff are invited to apply.
Projects should reflect an innovative or creative approach to education; impact multiple students; demonstrate sustainability if start-up funds are requested; and be completed within the 2017-2018 academic year. Past grants have included awards to purchase classroom supplies, recreational equipment and uniforms, books, technology, instruments, emergency needs, and material needs that support enhanced student success. Typical grants will range from $100 – $500.
If you are a past recipient of an Anchorage Schools Foundation grant, all grant reporting must be complete before you will be eligible to be considered for another grant. Approved grant awards will be dispersed to your school and must be fully expended within the 2017-2018 academic year. Award notifications are made in November with awards sent in December, so projects should be planned for the 3rd and/or 4th quarter of the school year.
When completing the application, the applicant needs to be working at the school where the grant project activities are taking place. The authorizing official of the school should be the principal.
