Whether you are a wide-eyed freshman or a seasoned ’50s era alumnus, the West High Foundation fuels the best and finest traditions of West Anchorage High School. The Foundation supports programs and projects that ensure West High students and teachers have the tools, resources, and facilities needed to realize West High’s full potential.
The simple answer is that the West High Foundation provides an opportunity to support large projects and programs for West High, many of which are complex or out of reach for the PTSA and Alumni Association. The WHS Foundation provides a non-profit conduit for private, corporate, and governmental grants that will directly endow projects and programs to benefit West High over the long term. For many years, thousands of alumni, parents, teachers, neighbors, and Alaskans from across our state have shared and enjoyed West’s outstanding academic, performing arts, and sports programs and venues. West High has been – from the very beginning – a true center where, as a community, we gather to celebrate and elevate the very best of our diverse talents, skills, cultures, and spirits.
The West High Foundation was created on behalf of the many alumni, teachers, parents, neighbors, businesses and, most of all, students who want to strengthen and continue this tradition. By supporting, volunteering, and/or donating to the West High Foundation, you will help ensure that West High’s commitment to the highest standards of academic achievement, high school sports, extracurricular activities, and community involvement will continue well into the future.
