The Patricia Roppel Memorial Scholarship Fund is a $5,000 award made annually to an undergraduate or graduate student who is either enrolled or intends to enroll at an accredited college and majoring in history, pursuing the study of Alaska.

Preference will be given to a student with a GPA of 2.9 or higher.

Preference will be given to an applicant specializing in Southeast Alaska history, or the history of mining, fisheries, or timber in Alaska.
