An endowment to support the operations of the John Trigg Ester Library, a home-grown community library located in Ester, Alaska. The Library provides a welcoming and intellectually stimulating environment where community members can meet and share ideas and information.

The John Trigg Ester Library offers two programs:

  1. A free lecture series held during the winter months; and,
  2. A  seed library featuring seed swaps and workshops

The library’s collections include, in addition to general fiction and nonfiction titles, a circumpolar regions collection with an emphasis on Alaska and Ester-specific titles, children’s literature, cookbooks, sheet music and fake books, sustainable agriculture and related food issues, homesteading, and how-to (trades and crafts), a film collection, and miscellaneous reference materials. See the library’s online catalog at LibraryThing.
